BUS: at Baslow, Nether End: Every Day: at least 1 per hour from Chesterfield and Bakewell; every 2 hours from Sheffield, Matlock (except Sundays) and Buxton (except Sundays); 3 per day from Manchester.

CAR: the public car park can get very busy but if you are only planning a very brief visit there is short term parking on street and just inside the car park entrance.

WELL DRESSINGS: the 1998 Well Dressings were unfortunately cancelled at short notice, but in previous years there have been two:

• on the green at Nether End
• Children's Well on the bank of Bar Brook (standing at the car park entrance facing the main Well Dressing, turn right. Walk straight ahead, keeping the Goose Green Tea Rooms on your left, and continue until you cross over the brook. Turn right along the side of the brook, in front of the row of cottages)
