BUS: Mondays to Saturdays: frequent from Derby; every ½ hour from Ripley; at least every hour from Bakewell; hourly from Heanor; every 2 hours from Manchester and Alfreton; 5 per day from Ashbourne. Sundays: frequent from Derby, at least every hour from Bakewell; hourly from Ripley; every 2 hours from Manchester.

TRAIN: Every Day: about every 2 hours from Derby and Matlock; 1 return service per day from London (Mondays to Saturdays) or Nottingham (Sundays).

CAR: use any of the Pay and Display car parks (free on evenings and Sundays). Disabled badge holders may wish to take their vehicle to each of the well locations, which are a considerable distance apart. Even so, convenient parking near the dressings may be difficult.

WELL DRESSINGS: check with leaflets available at some of the Well Dressing sites. In 2008, there were 30:

There were no dressings in the Beaurepaire Gardens in 2008. The majority of those that were there in 2007 were located in the Memorial Gardens instead. THe remaining few dressings did not appear in 2008.

WELLS IN THE MAKING: the dressings are made at Firestone House on Derwent Street during the previous week.
