On the A632 Chesterfield to Cuckney road.

BUS: Mondays to Saturdays: Frequent services from Chesterfield, hourly from Mansfield, Sheffield, Langwith, Williamthorpe and Crystal Peaks; Sundays: at least 2 services every hour from Chesterfield, hourly from Langwith, every 2 hours from Mansfield, Sheffield and Crystal Peaks.

CAR: the town car parks are reasonably good, but not well signposted. They are mostly accessed from High Street, which leaves the main road near the Parish Church. The car park at the Council Offices can be used by the general public at weekends. There is also some time-restricted on-street parking.

WELL DRESSINGS: in 2004, there were 3:

Two further dressings, outside the Assembly Halls and outside the Council Offices, did not appear in 2004.

DEMONSTRATION: one well dressing is petalled during the afternoon of the preceding few days at Bolsover Castle.
