About 1km from the A5012 Via Gellia (the junction with the Via Gellia is about 1.5km from Cromford on the A6).
BUS: Mondays to Saturdays: every hour from Matlock and Cromford; Sundays: no service.
CAR: there is usually no difficulty in parking in the village, but at busy times (particularly Saturday and Sunday afternoon) you may need to park some distance from the centre
WELL DRESSINGS: vary from year to year.
In 2008 there were five:
- near the fountain at the junction of Yeoman Street and The Dale
- in the village centre, opposite the old Cross
- in Church Street, just beyond the Church
- outside the Chapel at the head of The Dale
- on the south side of The Dale, between the Chapel and the Barley Mow pub
Four further dressings, on High Street just above the old Cross, at Town Head, and two on Uppertown Lane, did not appear in 2008.
