Vale Road, off Otterspool Road (the A627 Romiley to Hazel Grove road), a few km to the east of Stockport.
BUS: nearest stop is at Danbank Bridge at the junction of the A626 Stockport to Marple road with Dooley Lane (about 1km). Mondays to Saturdays: every ½ hour from Stockport, Marple and Romiley; hourly from Hazel Grove and Glossop. Sundays: hourly from Stockport, Marple and Romiley.
TRAIN: Romiley station (about 2km): Mondays to Saturdays: about 3 services every hour from Manchester; every 1 to 2 hours (Saturdays hourly) from Sheffield. Sundays: roughly every 2 hours from Manchester and Sheffield.
CAR: take Vale Road (signposted Chadkirk Chapel) from the east side of the A627 Otterspool Road. There is a car park for the country park near the junction, but during the Well Dressing weekend a special car park is provided in a field further along the lane. The lane is narrow and can be busy, but the event is well marshalled.
WELL DRESSING: two:
- at St Chad's Well, a short distance from the Chapel (follow the signs along the footpath from the Chapel)
- in the Walled Garden near the Chapel itself
