Dale Abbey, Derbyshire, England.
SK437387. OS Landranger 129
About 1km south of the A6096 Spondon to Ilkeston road.
BUS: no service on Sundays and Bank Holidays. On other days, an hourly service between Derby and Ilkeston via Kirk Hallam runs along the main road.
CAR: use the car park provided if possible. At busy times, particularly on the afternoon of the Bank Holiday, the village can get very busy and it is then almost impossible to park. As an alternative, you can park on Dale Moor near the opposite end of the footpath leading past the Hermitage, and walk along the footpath (boots needed if weather has been wet).
WELL DRESSINGS: three (the Village Well, the Abbey Well, the Hermit's Well): situated along the lane leading from the Carpenter's Arms pub, past the Abbey towards All Saints' church.
