Just off the A516, which links southwest Derby (Mickleover and Littleover) with the A50.

BUS: Mondays to Saturdays: every half hour, Sundays: every 2 hours, from Derby and Burton-upon-Trent. Derbyshire Wayfarer valid on all journeys, including to and from Burton.

CAR: use the car park provided at the John Port School.

WELL DRESSINGS: varies from year to year. Obtain a brochure with map from the sales caravan on the green in front of the church, near the car park entrance. In 2007, there were eight:

on the green in front of the church
two outside the old almshouses, behind the church
at the top of Church Hill, between the church and Main Street
in the garden of the Blenheim House hotel on Derby Road
near the Frank Wickham village hall at the top of Portland Street (behind the Spread Eagle pub)
outside the Scout hut on Sandypits Lane
behind the Primary School (follow signs along path from front gate)

A second dressing at the Scout Hut, and a further dressing at the Hawk and Buckle pub on Derby Road did not appear in 2008.

DEMONSTRATION: during the weekend, a small board is petalled in a marquee on The Green. Visitors are invited to have a go.
