The centre of Glossop lies at the junction of the A57 with the A624. The B6105 Woodhead Road leads north from here; Church Street is on the east side of Woodhead Road.

TRAIN: Mondays to Saturdays: 2 per hour Manchester and Hadfield. Sundays: hourly from Manchester and Hadfield.

BUS: Passing Church Street Mondays to Saturdays: frequent from Glossop town centre; hourly from Hazel Grove and Hyde. Sundays: no service. Alternatively from Glossop town centre (a little under 1km) Mondays to Saturdays: at least 3 per hour from Ashton, 2 per hour from Manchester (during peak hours and evenings Mondays to Fridays only), 2 per hour from Hyde, hourly from Hazel Grove and Buxton. Sundays: 2 per hour from Ashton, hourly from Manchester, Hyde and Buxton.

CAR: although there are often a number of cars parked on Church Street, it is usually possible to find a space.

WELL DRESSING: two, at All Saints Roman Catholic Church on Church Street.
