On a minor road between the B6049 just south of Tideswell and the A623 Baslow to Chapel-en-le-Frith road about 1km west of Wardlow Mires.

BUS: Mondays to Saturdays: at least 1 per hour from Buxton, Tideswell and Calver Sough; hourly from Sheffield; every 2 hours from Bakewell and Castleton; 2 per day from Chesterfield. Sundays: roughly every 1½ hours from Buxton, Tideswell and Calver Sough; 5 per day from Chesterfield; 3 per day from Sheffield, Bakewell, Castleton and Manchester.

CAR: if the car park in the square is full, it is usually possible to park on the road towards the eastern end of the village.

WELL DRESSING: two:

on the north side of the square, near the school.
at the Methodist Church, on the south side of the main road towards the eastern end of the village.
