BUS: Mondays to Saturdays: frequent from Matlock; at least 2 services per hour from Bakewell and Wirksworth; hourly from Nottingham, Derby, Belper, Buxton, Crich and Bonsall; every 2 hours from Alfreton and Manchester. Sundays: at least 2 services per hour from Matlock and Bakewell; at least 1 service per hour from Belper; hourly from Nottingham, Derby and Buxton; every 1 to 2 hours from Alfreton, Crich and Swanwick; every 2 hours from Ripley and Manchester; 4 services per day from Ashbourne and Chesterfield; 3 services per day from Hucknall and Ilkeston.
TRAIN: Every Day: every 1 to 2 hours from Derby, Belper and Matlock.
CAR: there is time limited on street parking on the main road which is useful on weekdays, but it is vitually impossible to find a space at weekends. The car park at the north end of the village is also usually very busy, but there are often spaces in the one at the south end of the village, off Temple Road. As an alternative to parking in the village, there are park and ride facilities at Matlock and Cromford stations.
WELL DRESSING: one, outside the Tourist Information Centre in the Pavilion
WELL IN THE MAKING: the dressing is made in the Community Centre (opposite end of the Pavilion from the Tourist Information Centre) during the day preceding the event. Visitors and helpers welcome.
