On the B5234 between Burton-upon-Trent and Abbots Bromley.

BUS: no service on Sundays and Bank Holidays. On other days an infrequent service operates from Burton-upon-Trent and Uttoxeter. A service from Abbot's Bromley and return operates four times a week. Derbyshire Wayfarer not valid.

CAR: when possible, use the signposted car park provided in a field of Hollybush Road. In some years, this car park has not been available due to wetness of the ground; in this case parking can be difficult during the main festivities on the Monday and you may have to park on the roadside some distance from the village centre. However, at other times, there is usually no problem parking in the village.

WELL DRESSINGS: in 2008 there were five, all near the crossroads at the centre of the village:

• the Main Well, a short distance along Hollybush Road from the crossroads
• the Duffield Well, next to the restored old village pump, on Duffield Lane (the main road from Burton-upon-Trent)
• the School Well, by the entrance of a house on Yoxall Road, just beyond the school.
• the Memorial Well, two small boards a short distance further along Yoxall Road, on the opposite side from the School Well. This was a new location for 2008.

Additionally, there is a petalled board bearing the village name near the Duffield Well.

WELLS IN THE MAKING: the dressings are made during the preceding week, between 10.30a.m. and 4.30p.m. with a break for lunch, at the Youth and Adult Centre.
