On the A628 Barnsley to Manchester road, about 2km west of its junction with the A629 Rotherham to Huddersfield road.

CAR: at quiet times it may be possible to park on Bridge Street, near the well dressings. Alternatively, use the free public car park on Stottercliffe Road (signposted from Bridge Street just above the old railway bridge).

• one on the west side of Bridge Street (B6462), about 100m south of its junction with the A628 (Barnsley Road and Thurlstone Road)
• a number of small boards on the opposite side of Bridge Street, below its junction with Wentworth Road.
