At the junction of the B6179 and the B6016 about 1.5km south of the A38 at Alfreton.

BUS: Mondays to Saturdays: frequent services from Alfreton and Ripley; 4 per hour from Mansfield; 3 per hour from Derby; Hourly from Nottingham and Chesterfield. Sundays: at least once per hour from Alfreton, Ripley and Derby; hourly from Mansfield; every 2 hours from Nottingham and Chesterfield.

CAR: usually easy to park on Broadway or The Green.

WELL DRESSINGS: in 2007 there were three:

The Main Well, at the Jubilee Fountain, located at the junction of Broadway and The Green (B6016), about 100m east of Derby Road (B6179)
The Scouts Well, on display next to the Main Well during the first day of the event, then moved to the Methodist Church on Derby Road
The Delves School Well, on display next to the Main Well during the first day of the event, then moved to the School entrance on The Delves, near its junction with Hayes Lane (do not confuse with Swanwick Hall School, which is nearer to the centre of the village)

TIP: for the best viewing of the main well, visit during the afternoon of the first day, when the railings of the Jubilee Fountain are temporarily removed.

WELL IN THE MAKING: the main dressing is made in the porch of the Parish Church during the course of the preceding week. Contact 01773 609171 for further details.
