On the B6049 between its junction with the A6 (about 2km west of Taddington) and the A623 Baslow to Chapel-en-le-Frith road at Lane Head (The Anchor pub).

BUS: Mondays to Saturdays: at least 1 per hour from Buxton and Calver Sough; hourly from Sheffield; roughly 1 per hour from Castleton; every 2 hours from Bakewell and Castleton; 5 per day from Chesterfield; 2 per day from Manchester. Sundays: roughly 1 per hour from Castleton; 4 per day from Buxton; 3 per day from Sheffield, Bakewell and Calver Sough; 2 per day from Chesterfield and Manchester.

CAR: a car park is provided at busy times, but it is normally possible to park on the road just to the north of the village.

WELLS IN THE MAKING: the dressings are made during the preceding few days at Hardy House, Hardy Lane. Contact Ann Carr 01298 871615 for further details.

FLOWER FESTIVAL: the Flower Festival, when held, is on different dates from the main Well Dressings. A Well Dressing board often features as part of the Festival in the Parish Church.
