If we were to celebrate the birthday of every one of our bears, we would be partying non-stop every day of the year. The bears would not mind this, of course, but I am afraid we would find it rather wearing. For that reason, we celebrate the birthday of all the bears in our hug on one day of the year, November 14th, which we call Bear Day. It happens also to be Fraser’s birthday.
On the evening of Bear Day we have a feast, like the one in the picture on the main page of this section. But at lunchtime we have a picnic.
It is usually rather too cold to hold an outdoor picnic in England in November, so we generally hold it indoors on a rug laid out on the living room floor. But, thanks to bear magic, we can be transported to the Enchanted Glade, as seen in this picture of Ashley, Brian, Ted, Fraser and friends.
