The funicular on the Isle of Capri
Capri is an island of Italy located at the entrance to the Bay of Naples.
The first and only railway on the island is the funicular connecting the Marina Grande to Piazza Umberto I in the town centre of Capri. The funicular opened in 1907, is built to metre gauge, and has a rise of 139m in its 670m length.
