• Feldbahn Neckarbischofsheim 600mm gauge club railway in Neckarbischofsheim, open to the public on certain days. Usually diesel hauled. • Krebsbachtalbahn Neckarbischofsheim Nord to Hüffenhardt. 16.9km, Standard gauge, historic diesel railbus. Operates Sundays and public holidays late April to early October (Site in German)
• Lokalbahn Amstetten-Gerstetten Amstetten to Gerstetten, 19.9km, standard gauge, usually steam hauled. Operates most Sundays and public holidays, late April to October and in December (Site in German)
• Öchsle Museumsschmalspurbahn Warthausen to Ochsenhausen, 22.2km, 750mm gauge. Usually steam hauled. Operates every Sunday and various Saturdays and Wednesdays, April to early October (Site in German)
• Rebenbummler excursions on sections of the DB Regio lines around Riegel and Endigen, north of Freiburg (Breisgau). Standard gauge, historic diesel railcars. A steam locomotive is in the course of restoration. Operates on a few Saturdays and Sundays in April, May, September, and October (Site in German)
• Sauschwänzlebahn Blumberg Zollhaus to Weizen, 25.6km. Standard gauge, with a rise of 330m including steep gradients, many loops and tunnels. Steam or diesel hauled (Site in German with autotranslate option and downloadable brochure in various languages including English)
• Schwäbische Alb-Bahn in addition to regular passenger services between Ulm and Gammertingen, also operates steam or diesel hauled excursions on the section between Münsingen and Trochtelfingen. 30.8km, standard gauge. Operates typically one day each month, April to October (Site in German)
• Schwäbische Waldbahn Schorndorf to Welzheim, 22.9km. Standard gauge, steam or diesel hauled. Operates most Sundays and public holidays, May to October and December (Site in German)
• Stiftung Museumsbahn occasional excursions originating in Switzerland run into Germany as far as Singen. Standard gauge, usually steam hauled. About 6km of the line is in Germany (Site in German)
• Torfbahn Bad Wurzach former peat railway at the Oberschwäbische Torfmuseum. Diesel hauled. Operates one Saturday and one Sunday each month, April to October, or by private charter (Site in German)
• Trossinger Eisenbahn Trossingen main line station to the town, 4.3km, standard gauge, historic electric railcars. Operates on a few days each year for special events, or by private charter (Site in German)
• Ziegeleimuseum Sondernheim brickworks museum with rides on a 1.5km, 600mm gauge line within the museum grounds. Diesel hauled using former industrial locomotives. Museum open for groups by prior arrangement, trains run as required (Site in German)

• Eisenbahn-Freunde Bad Schönborn museum with model railways, also 127mm and 184mm (5 and 7¼ inch) gauge passenger carrying miniature railways. The latter operate typically one day each month, April to October (Site in German)
• Killesbergbahn in the Höhenpark Killesberg, Stuttgart. 2.1km, 381mm (15 inch) gauge, steam and diesel hauled. Operates daily, mid April to September, weekends in October, and on afew other days each year (Site in German)
• Schlossgartenbahn Karlsruhe. 2.7km, 600mm gauge, steam and diesel hauled. Operates weekends April to early November, daily June to September (Site in German)
