Railways in the

Marshall Islands

During the Japanese occupation immediately before, and during, World War II, it is believed that a railway or railways, probably of 1067mm gauge, may have been installed for military construction and transportation purposes. These would have been dismantled when the islands came under American control. It is not thought that there are any visible remains today.
