The Federated States of Micronesia is made up of four island states: Chuuk, Pohnpei, Yap and Kosrae. Fais is a remote coral island, administratively part of Yap.
A phosphate plant on Fais island was active under Japanese control during the 1930s. It was served by a narrow gauge railway. The plant was destroyed by Allied bombing during World War II and not reopened.
There are no other known railways in the Federated States of Micronesia.
