There are no operational railways in Saint Lucia today.
In the past, at least four sugar cane plantations, some with associated distilleries, had railway systems. Remains of one of these, including a couple of derelict locomotives, can be seen at the present day Saint Lucia Distillers premises, the former Roseau factory near Jacmel.
Fort Rodney on Pigeon Island had a funicular railway used for hauling fuel from a wharf up to the fort. The concrete foundations remain.
